Veljko Sikirica (Coordinator)

Start Day: Mon 5 May

End Day: Fri 9 May

The aim of the course is to provide attendants with a comprehensive knowledge on the principles, the rules and the procedures governing public procurement. In order to do that, apart from the special regard devoted to formal regulation, the course will also focus on specific case- law.

Attendants will be introduced to IFI’s role in public procurement projects. A particular attention wills we addressed to IFI’s legal rules and principles and how these discipline matches or conflicts in some cases with national legislation. The topic will be examined from a twofold perspective: on the one hand, with the aim of highlighting the multiple links between the common market - or the global one - and the discipline of public procurement; on the other hand, with the idea of understanding the instrumental role of good governance on public procurement for the modernization of the public administration.
