QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND GREEN PROCUREMENT

Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide students with a complete knowledge on:

  • The basic concepts of quality management;
  • Role of quality in procurement;
  • The ISO 9001- standards and certification
  • Best Value Procurement, the mechanism to ensure compliance with price, quality and planning.
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution 
  • The vendor rating process
  • Risk Management
  • Innovation in Procurement, analyzing the different types of innovation, exploring what public procurement could focus on in terms of innovation, and engaging suppliers in strategic conversation about innovation.

This module will explore also the key concepts of sustainable procurement and explains how environmental and social considerations can be applied for the achievement of sustainable development objectives by giving a better understanding of how public procurement can contribute to more innovative activity in industry and to the growth or even creation of markets for innovative products and services, in line with internationally-recognized principles/standards for public procurement.
